Heath, Texas is the perfect place for a life of relaxation and fun in the sun. Only 30 minutes from the many sights and sounds of downtown Dallas, the tight-knit city is known for its yearly outdoor events, like the popular Independence Day Parade, the Annual Heath Holiday In The Park, and everyone’s favorite “Movie In The Park.” But that’s not all the city’s known for. For instance, Heath is publicly served by Rockwall ISD, which is one of the most highly-ranked school districts in the state. For a more private education, the college prepatory school of Fulton Academy is located in Heath as well. The city is also known for its safe and friendly neighborhoods, one of which is the always immaculate Buffalo Creek.
Buffalo Creek is a custom home community that’s nestled within rolling hills and large trees. The neighborhood is beautifully woven around the world-class Buffalo Creek Golf Club, an 18-hole masterpiece designed by Jay Morrish and former PGA player Tom Weiskopf. It’s slightly newer, European-style homes are designed with exteriors of brick and stone, which all boast such features as bay windows, high cielings, turrets, and large driveways.
Built between 1990 and 2006, the homes in this neighborhood average at about $560,000 and they include a covered patio with electric outlets and pre-plumbed gas, 8′ Mahogany front doors with decorative glass/wrought iron designs, and beautifully landscaped yards with built-in irrigation systems. Interiors include hardwood flooring and crown molding throughout most of the house, as well as a 3′ gas fireplace with a cast-stone surround and mantle. Master baths feature a garden tub and seperate shower, decorative framed mirror, and a walk-in closet with plenty of shelving.
Residents of Buffalo Creek enjoy the community’s amenities, which include two swimming pools, a playground, and a clubhouse. In addition, downtown Rockwall is only a few minutes away where Buffalo Creek residents can visit the Harbor, the area’s most popular weekend spot with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars. Of course, the Harbor is located on Lake Ray Hubbard, where thousands of people go to sail, swim, and fish every day.
